Welcome to Jefferson Community & Technical College. We are pleased that you are considering Jefferson as the place to continue your education. As the state's largest two-year, comprehensive community and technical college, Jefferson offers a wide-range of programs and services to meet your needs wherever you are in life.
If you are a high school student, you can get a head start on college credits through our dual credit programs
- If you are beginning a college career or returning to college, you can complete the first two years before transferring to a four-year program; you can earn your associate's degree in a professional or technical program; or you can explore career options.
- If you need to brush up on fundamentals, we offer English as a Second Language, and developmental programs in reading, writing and math to help you succeed in college courses.
- If you are in the middle of your career, we offer classes to upgrade your skills, or you can train for a new career.
- If you are a career professional, take advantage of skills training and professional development opportunities.
- If you are a retiree, we offer opportunities for lifelong learning.
- If you need flexibility, you'll find numerous e-Learning opportunities through our partnerships with Kentucky Virtual University and Kentucky Educational Television.
Even more important, Jefferson is committed to serving students through outstanding faculty, small classes, flexible schedules and e Learning programs, and a challenging learning environment. We also offer numerous opportunities to students, faculty, staff and the community for professional and cultural enrichment.

Jefferson Technical , 727 W. Chestnut St., Louisville
Southwest , 1000 Community College Drive, Valley Station
Carrollton , 324 Main Street, Carrollton
Shelby County , 1361 Frankfort Road, Shelbyville
We also are the state's largest provider of on-line courses, available through Kentucky Virtual University.
