Jefferson employees honored for innovation, impact
|
Marsh and Rogers earn New Horizon recognition
VERSAILLES, Ky. (May 25, 2007) – Two Jefferson Community and Technical College employees were honored recently for innovation and achievement during the annual New Horizon banquet held by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
New Horizon is the highest honor presented by KCTCS and is awarded each year to a faculty member and staff member from each of state’s 16 community and technical colleges and a staff member from the KCTCS office. |

LOUISVILLE, KY -- At nearly every graduation ceremony, students are reminded that a “commencement” is not an ending, but a beginning. It couldn’t be more true than it is for many of this year’s Jefferson Community and Technical College graduates, who will be honored at a ceremony on Thursday, May 10. |

JCTC aids return of American chestnut tree
|
|
LOUISVILLE, KY – Once prominent throughout the Eastern United States, the American chestnut tree was devastated in the early 20th century by a blight caused by a fungus. This month up to 10 American chestnut tree seedlings will be planted on Chestnut Street by Jefferson Community & Technical College, marking the return of a tree believed to missing from the area for nearly a century. |
