Concert showcases student's musical journey
|
LOUISVILLE, KY -- At age 14, Louisville musician Casey Willis got his first paying gig, opening for Johnny Cash. While he acknowledges today that he “really had no understanding of what a legend” Cash was, Willis had launched a musical journey that he will share through lecture and performance April 2.
Willis, with the help of other area musicians, will explore the bluegrass, country, swing, Celtic and Texas-style found in the music performed on fiddle, mandolin and guitar. The performance will be held on Monday, April 2 at 5:45 p.m. at the Student Community Building on the Southwest Campus of Jefferson Community & Technical College. |
