Fiscal Court donates $10,000 to Carrollton Campus
|
CARROLLTON (FEB 24, 2006) -- Carroll County Fiscal Court has allocated another $10,000 in support to the Carrollton Campus of Jefferson Community & Technical College. It matches a donation made by the Fiscal Court last January.
The money is used by the campus to further outreach programs in reading, writing, mathematics and English as a Second Language, as well as to support general education and technical programs. The campus is located at 324 Main Street in Downtown Carrollton.

Fall semester classes begin Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Jefferson Community and Technical College. The fall semester marks the first full term at the newly consolidated college; record enrollment is expected. |

Consolidation efforts are complete; two-year college is state’s largest
In a ceremony July 1, 2005, on the Downtown Campus in Louisville, Jefferson Community & Technical College celebrated its new status as a single institution. It marked the completion of consolidation efforts for Jefferson Community College and Jefferson Technical College.
Consolidation makes Jefferson the largest community and technical college in the state, and the second largest college or university in the region, serving 13,800 students.  |
