How to run a Degree Progress Report

 

1)         Log into Peoplesoft at https://students.kctcs.edu, and click on “Self Service.”  Then click on “Degree Progress/Graduation.”  Find “View Degree Progress Report” and click on it.

2)         Once in “View Degree Progress Report,” do the following:

• Select “KCTCS” as Academic Institution
• Select “Degree Progress Report” as Report Type
• Click on “Go” and the report will begin processing

 

How to read this report:

1. You must have a declared major to run this report; that is because the program checks your progress toward a specific major.   If you are unsure of your major or if you need to change it, please visit the Advising or Records Office on your campus.
2. If you attended Jefferson Community College or Jefferson Technical College more than 5 years ago, some of your coursework will not show up here.  However, you can usually find it in your “Legacy” records, which can be accessed from self-service as well.  (See the first screen in these directions.) Print a copy of your “legacy grades” to see which courses you have completed but do not appear on your JCTC transcript. (Legacy is coursework prior to 2000 or from Lexington Community College before 2005.)
3. All requirements that are not satisfied will be in Bold and Red.
4. This report will break down the requirements for your program, including how many units are required, how many units you actually have, and how many are still needed.
5. Following each requirement that is not satisfied, you will see a list of suggested classes to take to satisfy this requirement.  This report is a great tool to use as you plan your schedule or go through the self-service on-line enrollment process.
